Yesterday, Russ and Marie and John went to Chaparri Lodge but David and I were not feeling well so had to pass on the outing. This was too bad, as they saw not one but two Spectacled Bears, Javalina - Collared Peccary, Sechuran Fox, White-winged Guans and lots of birds. The photos from Chaparri were taken by Russ.
We enjoyed watching the superbowl game in the bar with tapas (appetizers), pizza and beer and sangria.
Today they were up fairly early and off to a forest reserve north of Chiclayo (I still couldn't go but Daivd went today) and saw more Tumbesian endemic birds.
We have the afternoon off and then leave bright and early tomorrow morning for Ecuador and Buenaventura Lodge (thanks Sandra for the info on the Ecuadorian birding lodges).
